Madeleine Chretien was born ABT 1646 in Paris, St Eustache, France. She died 25 FEB 1709 in Contrecoeur, Canada. She was the daughter of Toussaint Chretien and Francoise Bertault.
Madeleine Chretien's husband was Pierre Chicoine (1639-1701). They were married 20 OCT 1670 in Montreal, PQ, Canada. They had one known child named Pierre Chicoine (1676-1736).
Madeleine Chretien was a Fille du Roi
Between 1668 and 1673 some of the filles du roi who arrived in
New-France have been sent to Ville-Marie. They have been welcomed inla Maison Saint-Gabriel, which is the "métairie" of Marguerite Bourgeoys
bought in 1668, in Pointe Saint-Charles, in Montreal. They stayed, with
the nuns of the Congrégation Notre-Dame, there until they got married.
Here are the name of those filles du roi and I have sent two pictures of
the Maison Saint-Gabriel on the website of Uncle Fred. One in color and
one in black and white, so you can see this magnificient place:. Beside
their name you see their age (or ? if not known) when they arrived
