Edward John Schumacher is the son of Leo Nicholas Schumacher (1898-1965) and Julia Marie Anderson (1900-1981). His siblings were Richard Henry Schumacher (1927-?), Lewis Leo Schumacher, Robert Mathias Schumacher.
