Henry Alexander Preville was born 18 APR 1873 in Lake Luzerne, NY. He died 15 MAY 1967 in Rutland, VT. He was the son of Oliver "John" Preville (1848-?) and Adelaide M. Matte (1856-?). His siblings were Joseph Preville, Frank Oliver Preville (1868-1963), Lillian Preville, Minnie Preville, Anna Preville, Therese Preville.

Henry Alexander Preville's wife was Philemon Geno (1877-1964). They were married 26 DEC 1893. They had 7 known children named Retha Preville (1894-1990), Sylvia M. Preville (1896-1992), Ave Maria "Eve" Preville (1897-?), Pansie Blossom Preville (1910-?), Cornelia Byrd Preville, Patricia "Agnes" May Preville, and Rachael Leah Preville (1899-?).

Notes

Henry Painted sleighs and carriages at his shop on Geno Ave. He didpainting and papering. He was also an artist, but had a unique style thatonly used two colors of paint. He applied gold leaf and was consideredan “expert.” He applied the gold leaf to carriages, wagons, andautomobiles. Henry was raised in around Schenectady, N.Y., where hewas taught to play music by the nuns. He played horns; coronet, trumpet,French horn, trombone,…etc. In his adult years he played in the RutlandBand along with his best friend, Billy Skeeles.
