Kate E. Ladd was born 2 MAR 1888. She died 1945 in Orange, Orange County, Vt. She was the daughter of Walter William Ladd (1857-1910) and Addie Morse (1859-1921). Her siblings were Sadie M. Ladd (1883-1961), John Shaw Ladd (1884-1923), Daniel Walter Ladd (1886-1962), Harry H. Ladd (1890-1976), Arthur Raymond Ladd (1892-1960), Charles Frederick Ladd (1894-1930), Dean A. Ladd (1897-1971).
Dan and Kate were left the Ladd Farm on Cutler Corner Road. Theyweren't allowed to marry in order to keep the farm. Dean lived with themon the farm but was a school teacher.
Once Kate died, they couldn't keep the farm together and they lost it.Apparently Dan liked to drink and Kate would keep them in line.
