After the death of his second wife,he moved in with Euretta "Ret" in Fitch Bay.
Blacksmith, Farmer, he brought blacksmith tools from Clarenceville andset up shop on the farm mostly for his own use. He was blacksmith forthe lead mine across the lake and took drills over in a row boat. On thefarm he had cows, sheep and horses.
