Ernest George Baraby was born 22 SEP 1887 in West Farnham, PQ, Canada. He was the son of John Baptiste Barabé (1853-1902) and Rose Pulchérie Gingras (1847-1937). His siblings were Rose Marie Barabé (1878-1950), Flora Baraby (1881-?), Frank Xavier Baraby (1883-1971), Blanche Barabé (1884-?).
Ernest George Baraby's wife was Leona O'Leary. They were married. They had five known children named Hortense Baraby (1911-?), Clair Baraby (1912-?), Gerald Baraby (1914-?), Alma Baraby (1915-?), and Eleanor Baraby (1918-?).
He immigrated 1896.
He was naturalized 1898.
Ernest lived on 40 Lake Street in the 1920 Census of St. Albans, Vt.
In 1917 he filled in his registration card for WWI. His was listed as havingblue eyes and brown hair being of slender build and medium height. Hewas also listed as living at 29 Edward Street with his wife and 3 children.
In the 1930 Census he is now listed as living at 25 Oak Street, BellowsFalls, VT. He is listed as working for the Rutland Railroad. Myassumption is that he knew my grandfather who worked for the St. AlbansRailroad. My grandfather moved to Barre for possibly the same reasonErnest moved to the Rutland area... St. Albans railroad was doing somepretty big layoffs.
